Diablo III launching February 1 2012 says retailer

Blizzard's decision to push Diablo III back into 2012 met with no small amount of upset from eager gamers, but it seems the wait may be soon over. Best Buy Canada has apparently begun advertising a February 1 2012 midnight launch for the much-anticipated game, according to Joystiq's source in Winnipeg, while a February 3 release is suggested by UK retailer Gameplay. Diablo III opening cinematic released

There's nothing quite like a good ol' game of Diablo to get you out of the everyday hum-drum of normal human life, and as Blizzard has proven with their eternally entertaining first two installments of this birds-eye-view hack and slash adventure game, Diablo III has a lot to live up to -- today we get our first glimpse of the first three minutes of the game as it's set to be released in 2012, cinematic one and the start of the continued hellish storyline. What you're about to see is Deckard Cain, also known as the dirty old man whose fortune it's been to both be the keeper of the lore of this game series and the one who's always burning in hell while you fight the forces of evil. Cain has a niece now too, and as a meteor shower is about to prove, his ramblings about the return of the forces of hell to the earth to bring about a new terror are more than just a little bit true - great holes of flame! World of Warcraft introduces playable panda race – for real, this time

It's been several years now since Blizzard Entertainment played an April Fool's prank on its World of Warcraft base by saying the fifth race in the game would be panda-humanoid in flavor - today we find that in their newest WoW expansion, it's no joke. There's a whole new expansion for World of Warcraft coming out soon by the name of "Mists of Pandaria." This race of fuzzy lovable killers has since the first "JK" announcement made several appearances in both WoW and StarCraft II, and both story characters and a playable Monk class will be coming with this next expansion pack. Diablo 3 release date pushed back to 2012, Beta extended

The greatest game of all time, ever, Diablo 3 (or III, if you prefer), is being pushed back to the start of 2012, that is if you trust the list we got to peek at all the way back in December of 2010. On the other hand, it could all be according to plan, that list being smacked in the face after it was leaked and those responsible sacked. All we need to know is that Diablo 3 is only months away, and that yours truly is going to have to try his hardest not to completely dismiss the outside world and live in a cave with internet connection for the next few years playing. Sony DC Universe Online goes freemium

For those of you that have never heard of this game before, it's called DC Universe Online, created and run by Sony, and it functions as a MMORPG or massively multiplayer online role-playing game and it was released in January of this year to throngs of ravenous comic book hero fans. Users create their own superheroes (or villains) and move through the DC world fighting and having awesome adventures with the rest of the people working and playing in the environment. This game initially only had one payment model to play, but as more social games creep up and offer free online games with money made from goods available in-game, Sony's decided to upgrade the system to three ways to pay to play. Diablo III Beta Gameplay Video Preview Released

Several gaming publishers have been granted license today to release a new video preview of Diablo III, one of the most widely anticipated and longest-waited-for games in the history of MMORPGs, in its beta form. This Preview features each of the different playable character classes including the classic Barbarian followed by the Witch Doctor, Demon Hunter, Wizard, and Monk. This video mainly shows the masses of different spells and abilities available in this newest installment of Diablo, but also goes into Followers - the NPC allies you'll be able to work with in your journey through the environments overrun with demons in your journey towards the end. Bad news for Diablo III fans as Blizzard makes fundamental changes to franchise

There is some bad news surfacing today about the anticipated game Diablo III from Blizzard. Blizzards is making fundamental changes to the way the game will be played and how items in the game are purchased and traded. Blizzard MMO Not Likely for Xbox 360

Blizzard is a company known for their Massively Multiplayer Online titles, with a major focus on World of Warcraft. Of course, a title like StarCraft can't be ignored, either, even if it doesn't fit into the MMO category. In any event, it doesn't look like Microsoft's Xbox 360 has much of a chance of landing an MMO of Blizzard caliber any time soon, as the company not only knows of the hardships that Microsoft puts forth to developers for access to Xbox LIVE, but they also believe that the Xbox 360 just doesn't have the power to make it happen.
