Blizzard is one of those companies that has a very firm policy on releasing new products. Namely, they release them “when it’s done”, rather than setting a release date many months in advance. However, they have broken form and revealed when they are planning to release the latest WoW expansion.

Finally, the official date has been announced as to when tickets for BlizzCon will go up for sale. The lucky ones that will be making their way there can pick them up as of August 11th.

Just in case you’ve somehow forgotten, it will be October 10th and 11th at the Anaheim Convention Center which is located in Anaheim, CA. The tickets will be sold for $100 a piece, but there is hope for those that can’t make it to the convention.

Since it was announced earlier in the month that the beta keys were being emailed out for Wrath of the Lich King, I’ve been pretty much checking my email non-stop. Well last night I finally saw the email I was looking for. That’s right, we can now bring you firsthand details of the beta.

Diablo III is for the PC and Mac only. There’s no console version coming whatsoever, or at least that’s what Blizzard told everyone when they announced the game. However, they may already be changing their tune.

Diablo fans have finally gotten Diablo III and even now that they’ve gotten it, some still aren’t happy.  It would appear as if some fans would prefer the new Diablo to be no different from the first two graphics-wise.  Which I understand, it’s hard when one of your favorite games is altered.  One great example of a new direction gone wrong is Doom 3.  I still have the old Doom games on my computer, but I despise Doom 3.

Diablo III announced

By Chris on Monday, Jun 30th 2008 No Comments

Diablo II definitely ranks among my list of favorite games for the PC. There’s just something about hacking and slashing my way through the minions of evil that I just can’t get enough of. I’m pretty sure it’s only been around a year since the last time I played it. Like many other fans of the series, I was disappointed long ago when it was stated that there would be no future Diablo titles. However, Blizzard has since changed their tune, as the third game in the series has been officially announced.

Blizzard has decided to add a mysterious image to their website, likely to cause a bit of a buzz. Which I’d say has been extremely successful since they have pretty much everyone speculating on what it could mean.

Anyone who frequents the world of Azeroth is likely familiar with the danger of your account being hacked. Those that would do harm against your account have a variety of methods, most of which cannot be completely defended against. Common sense about passwords and not downloading unfamiliar add-ons helps a lot, however, if you’re still worried about your account being accessed by someone else, then you might want to get your hands on the Blizzard Authenticator.
