Battle.net Voice Chat to debut with Overwatch beta

Battle.net Voice Chat to debut with Overwatch beta

/whisper, /tell, /reply. These were the tools of communication during early online gaming. Sure you also had various channels to talk in with your guild-mates, and you still do. But these days if you want to be competitive in any way, typing is just out of the question. You've got plenty of choices for when you want to get on a headset and chat. But sometimes too many choices is a bad thing. If the game you're playing has their own built-in voice chat client, then it just makes everyone's life easier. Activision Blizzard’s new Esports division brings former ESPN CEO on board

There's no denying that the Esports market is growing, and quickly. Last year's League of Legends Championship was watched by 27 million people on ESPN. To put that in perspective, the final games of both the World Series, and NBA Finals both drew smaller crowds. (23.5 million, and 18 million, respectively). So when ESPN's former CEO decides to break into the Esports world, it's really not a big surprise.

Hearthstone Grand Tournament expansion brings 132 new cards

Hearthstone Grand Tournament expansion brings 132 new cards

Unlike Mojang's Scrolls, it seems that Blizzard's Hearthsthone online card battle game is doing quite well. At least well enough to warrant a major expansion to this sub-franchise of the Warcraft line. Like you would expect from a card game expansion, The Grand Tournament dumps a whole lot of new cards for players, just a bit over 130 in total. Of course there are new features to be had as well, including a new "Inspire" mechanic and new ranking rewards at the end of each month.
