The WoW Minis have been coming for a little while and have been set for November 2008 for the release date. Blizzard has just announced that the minis will also be able to be previewed at GenCon this year.
Vivendi Games, has finally come out and said at least a slight time period as to when the new expansion for WoW will be released. Thus far, it has just been all of us guessing when it would finally be out.
BlizzCon has officially been announced, now all of us can sit and wait to see what goodies will be presented there. I believe last year is when the murloc suits were released for your character on WoW.
Not too long ago I informed you that Blizzard Wrath of the Lich King was coming along nicely, and that Blizzard had begun the Alpha process. Unfortunately some people have taken this knowledge and tried to use it for evil. Namely setting up fake websites and sending out emails informing people that they have been accepted into the beta program for the upcoming expansion.
I have always enjoyed gaming movies, I am one that is extremely easy to please when it comes to them too. I even enjoyed the latest Resident Evil that Scott here at Slashgear will start ranting about if you ever bring it up. Now, that being said, I never ever want to see the likes of Uwe Boll snagging the rights to create a World of Warcraft movie, frankly I think I'd go on a gaming strike. Thankfully Blizzard is smart enough to recognize Uwe Boll's lack of talent and turn him down flat.
It's been a while since I logged into World of Warcraft. Some would say it's been too long, while others tend to think I haven't been away long enough. I tend to agree with the latter. It's not that it's a bad game or anything, it just has a tendency to suck the soul out of any living being that enters the realm of Azeroth. For those of you that cannot escape its clutches, I do have some good news. Blizzard has announced a PVP contest with a $75,000 booty.
I've been addicted to WoW for some time now. However, much to the displeasure of my fellow guild mates, I've managed to stay away from it for the last few months. For those that still haven't kicked the addiction, how would you like to play on your cell phone?
For seven dollars, plus shipping and handling (although I’m sure Hot Topic or Spencers will have it sooner or later) you get two mana potions. Each one is 40mL of caffeine saturated goodness.
Chances are if you started playing any MMO too late, you are constantly looking for a way to get ahead, or at the very least just catch up, one way is to play your ass off, play for days at a time with only short breaks of real life, another is to find somewhere to exchange real life money for gear or currency, or maybe even a higher level character. Regardless, publishers have almost always been against such practices, partly because it undermines their control of the environment, partly because it usually doesn’t work out in favor of the purchaser.
Those that have been sucked into World of Warcraft tend to take great pride in their characters. Sadly once we log off for the day, we have no way to admire our favorite one. I know I tend to go through withdrawals from my elf priest, if I had a statue of her to get me through those dark times outside of WoW I might be able to hold off a little longer.
