Diablo fans have finally gotten Diablo III and even now that they've gotten it, some still aren't happy. It would appear as if some fans would prefer the new Diablo to be no different from the first two graphics-wise. Which I understand, it's hard when one of your favorite games is altered. One great example of a new direction gone wrong is Doom 3. I still have the old Doom games on my computer, but I despise Doom 3.
When Blizzard decided to start work on Diablo III, one of the things they felt was important was to simplify the interface down to needing little more than a mouse. This of course added fuel to speculation that the game may see a console release. Thankfully Lead Designer Jay Wilson specifically touches on this matter.
Diablo II definitely ranks among my list of favorite games for the PC. There's just something about hacking and slashing my way through the minions of evil that I just can't get enough of. I'm pretty sure it's only been around a year since the last time I played it. Like many other fans of the series, I was disappointed long ago when it was stated that there would be no future Diablo titles. However, Blizzard has since changed their tune, as the third game in the series has been officially announced.
Anyone who frequents the world of Azeroth is likely familiar with the danger of your account being hacked. Those that would do harm against your account have a variety of methods, most of which cannot be completely defended against. Common sense about passwords and not downloading unfamiliar add-ons helps a lot, however, if you're still worried about your account being accessed by someone else, then you might want to get your hands on the Blizzard Authenticator.
For much of my youth I was primarily a console gamer. Sure, there were a few games like Doom and Quake that I used my PC for, but that was about it. There was also a little game called Diablo that I got hooked on. I remember finding out about a sequel, which became the first PC game I actually waited outside of a store for. That was almost 8 years ago to the day, and Blizzard has just released a new patch to Diablo II.
