Blackberry CEO claims the Q10 will sell “tens of millions of units”

Blackberry CEO Thorsten Heins believes that the Blackberry Q10 will be the company's saving grace, moreso than the Blackberry Z10. First day Blackberry Q10 sales in the UK has surpassed the company's expectations with Carphone Warehouse's outlet, Selfridges, saying that the device sold thousands of units per hour. Within 6 hours, the retailer sold out its entire stock of Blackberry Q10 devices in every one of its stores.

Skype hits BlackBerry 10, but the Z10 is out of luck for now

Skype has landed for BlackBerry 10, but would-be VoIP users will need a Q10 initially, until BlackBerry updates its initial Z10 smartphone. The new app, confirmed as incoming only earlier this week, offers voice and video calling, instant messaging, and text messaging, just like Skype on other mobile platforms; however, it requires BlackBerry 10.1, loaded from the off on the newer Q10, but still pending for the Z10.

BlackBerry 10 March release: far too late

When the company formerly known as RIM first announced that they'd be working on the system that would eventually become BlackBerry 10, it was a year and a half ago. It takes a long time to develop an operating system, even when it's a mobile operating system meant to operate with far fewer abilities than a full-powered desktop OS - but that's not where BlackBerry went wrong. The company known as BlackBerry fell apart the moment they announced a new operating system more than a week before they showed it working in the real world.

BlackBerry Z10 Review roundup: BlackBerry 10 touches the press

This week the first reviews of the BlackBerry 10 all-touch hero phone are appearing one by one, and this BlackBerry Z10 (as its called) is appearing to be a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to appearing as your one true "must have" device. While we're seeing the consensus surrounding the software to be relatively positive and the hardware to be generally OK, it would appear that this device may be what many have feared: too little too late. Hope should not be lost though on this one initial push - the final product may be just what you, the business professional, ordered.

BlackBerry Q10 official as QWERTY touchscreen hero

This week the folks at BlackBerry (formerly known as RIM) have revealed BlackBerry 10 and one of two new hero devices for the software: the BlackBerry Q10. This device has a combination of two user interfaces, one a touchscreen, the other a classic BlackBerry keyboard. The details surrounding this device have been "leaked" several times before this first official reveal, but the final specifications have (as we're finding here) never been perfectly nailed by any one leak or tip - stainless steel, edge to edge glass, and a full BlackBerry 10 experience await you!
