Wednesday's seem to have a mind of their own. Seriously, they can just feel like they go on forever. Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9650 on sale Thursday for $150

Verizon has announced that the BlackBerry Bold 9650 will go on sale from Thursday June 3rd, with the QWERTY messaging phone priced at $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and assuming a new, two-year agreement.  The Bold 9650 has EVDO Rev.A and 2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA for global roaming, together with WiFi b/g, a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, and GPS. BlackBerry Bold 9800 slider breaks cover to flaunt WebKit browser

RIM's BlackBerry Bold 9800 slider has shown up in the wild again, and this time it's showing off a little more of the company's work in BlackBerry OS 6.  The WebKit engine is apparently heavily integrated into the new OS, and here it makes an appearance scoring a full 100/100 in the Acid3 browser test. SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry public beta starts Dec 30th

Sling have set a release date for the SlingPlayer Mobile software for BlackBerry smartphones, first announced at the beginning of 2008.  The software, which allows you to watch streamed video from your SlingBox over a WiFi or 3G connection, will go into public beta come December 30th, at which point it will be available to download for those with BlackBerry handsets running OS 4.5.

Vodafone version of RIM’s BlackBerry Storm gets unboxed

T3 got their hands on photos of an unboxing of the Vodafone BlackBerry Storm today. They added a nice little note stating that the actual Storm that Vadafone ships will most likely come in a little different packaging.  There was an Internal PR event at RIMs headquarters on October 17th, ironically the date on the device matches the date of the event suggesting that the pictures originated at the event. Walmart offer ‘Free’ BlackBerry Bold, with heavy contract prices

If the $299.99 sticker price on the new AT&T BlackBerry Bold is too rich for you right now, Walmart might have the answer.  They're currently offering the new smartphone - which we glowingly reviewed here - free, after a mail-in rebate.  Of course, there's always a catch to these deals, and unsurprisingly they collar you with the monthly fees. This year has seen two game-changers for RIM, in the shape of the BlackBerry Storm and the BlackBerry Bold.  The former is easier to explain – it’s the company’s first touchscreen device – but the latter has been more of an evolution for the messaging specialists.  While loved by many, the BlackBerry line-up had been looking progressively more and more bland compared to rivals; with the Bold, RIM have taken the opportunity to give it more than just a slick new casing.
