RIM’s white BlackBerry Bold 9900 has been revealed, with carrier Vodafone UK the first to commit to offering the pale-hued QWERTY smartphone. The BlackBerry 7 OS devices recently launched have on their boxes the label "Hot Spot Capable," and yet none are capable of this feature just yet. A leaked memo to the Now Network carrier, however, reveals that the mobile WiFi Hot Spot feature will be coming soon via a software update in the coming months.

If you're a BlackBerry fan that was put off by the pricey BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 that recently launched, there may be a more affordable option with similar specs on its way. The BlackBerry Bold 9790 has just been outed in a picture next to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 for comparison. The 9790 is expected to sport the same internals but packaged in a smaller form factor and at a possibly lower price.

Pricing for the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 in the US has been revealed, and you could almost think that the US carriers wanted to kill off RIM given the sky-high numbers involved. Verizon's "World Phone" Bold 9930 is available now, priced at $249.99 with a new, two year agreement and data package, while T-Mobile USA will offer the Bold 9900 at the end of this month but is asking even more.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 has gone on sale in the UK, with Vodafone offering the smartphone in-store from today. Priced from free on new agreements at £34.17 or above, the Bold 9900 has a full QWERTY keyboard, touchscreen display and a 1.2GHz processor, as well as a copy of BlackBerry 7. Vodafone tells SlashGear that pre-order customers should begin receiving their Bold 9900 from today.

BlackBerry World 2011 is kicking off today in Orlando, and RIM has officially unveiled its latest smartphones, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Bold 9930. The thinnest BlackBerry smartphones to-date, at 10.5mm thick, the two handsets have 2.8-inch capacitive 640 x 480 287dpi touchscreens, full QWERTY keyboards and an optical trackpad, and run BlackBerry 7 OS on a 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of memory.

Images and video of RIM's upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9780 - the replacement of the current Bold 9700 - have leaked to BerryReview, complete with a demonstration of the BlackBerry 6 OS running on the non-touchscreen handset. Expected to make its official debut in October, the Bold 9780 updates the 9700's RAM to 512MB and the camera to 5-megapixels.
