Nintendo reveals E3 game demo Best Buy plans and SEGA Sonic exclusive

Nintendo is aiming to democratize E3 2013 next week, partnering with Best Buy in the US and Canada to give access to unreleased games to those who can't attend the annual gaming event. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime revealed the plans at the tail-end of a Nintendo Direct presentation; "this year," Fils-Aime said of E3, "it's all about the games." Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S coming next month, pre-orders now live

Lenovo's long-awaited IdeaPad Yoga 11S is finally about to make its store debut. The 11-inch convertible laptop, which was announced at CES 2013 back in January, now has a release date of June 23 and pre-orders are live starting today on Lenovo's website, as well as at Best Buy. Best Buy to sell EU stake to Carphone Warehouse

Best Buy has revealed a definitive agreement to sell its 50-percent share of Best Buy Europe to Carphone Warehouse, which it entered into a joint venture with back in 2008. The sale will take place for the equivalent of $775 million, with the majority of it coming in the form of cash and the rest of it being offered in Carphone Warehouse Group stock with a one-year restriction, during which time the group can sell the shares on Best Buy's behalf at issued prices and higher. Leap Motion delayed as Best Buy takes the blame

This week the pre-order ship date for the Leap Motion 3D controller device has been moved due in part to a mistake made with Best Buy orders. This date change will not affect the way the device functions, but will change when the device is sent to those that have already pre-ordered the device. T-Mobile HTC One arriving April 19, according to Best Buy

After hearing from AT&T about the release date of the HTC One on their network, T-Mobile is also apparently pushing out the word of the release date for the new device, and it's unsurprisingly coming the same day that AT&T's version becomes available. Samsung to launch Experience Shops in 1400 Best Buy stores

Samsung has teamed up with Best Buy to bring 1,400 in-store Experience Shops, according to a statement released Thursay. The stores will begin rolling out some time this month, with the Korean manufacturer stating that 900 Experience Shops will be up and running in select Best Buys by the beginning of May, with the rest of them rolling out "by early summer," although no hard dates were provided. For some reason, Best Buy believes that it's a good idea to follow Yahoo's example and forbid its workers from working from home. Considering all of the angry feedback Yahoo received from its employees as well as all of the negative press written about its structure change, you would think Best Buy would stay away from the idea. Best Buy reports Q4 2013 earnings, founder drops plans for private buyout

Best Buy announced its Q4 2013 (fiscal year) earnings today, and it's not looking incredibly good. The company reported a net loss of $377 million with a revenue of $16.7 billion during the quarter. Compared to a year ago, Best Buy brought in a revenue of $16.67 billion with a net loss of $405 million, so the company actually did a tad bit better this time around, actually. Read The Full Story
