Bell Mobility Palm Pre hits Canada August 27th

Palm and Bell Mobility have announced that the Pre smartphone will be available in Canada on August 27th, priced at CA$199.95 (US$187) with a three year contract. The CDMA handset is the same model as is already on sale in the US through carrier Sprint, and includes EVDO Rev.A, Bluetooth and WiFi, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and multitouch-capable capacitive touchscreen. BlackBerry Tour 9630 specs leak: Arrives in Canada mid-July

It looks, judging by these images, like someone has been faxing something they shouldn't have, but when the leak is a detailed spec-sheet for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 we won't quibble over it coming on thermal paper. According to MobileSyrup's source, the Tour 9630 will arrive on Canadian carrier Bell in mid-July, bringing with it an HVGA 480 x 360 display, 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 2100MHz UMTS/HSPA and 800/1900MHz EVDO Rev.A. We’ve had some much-anticipated and long-awaited gadgets land at SlashGear this week, so we’ve gone overboard with unboxing videos and hands-on galleries. Bell Mobility and Palm have announced that the carrier will be the exclusive debut for the Pre smartphone in Canada. Set to launch in the second half of 2009, the smartphone will be the same 3G EVDO Rev.A handset as Sprint users will get in the US.
