The new Conserve Surge Protector offers 8 outlets in which 6 of them can be turned off via a remote so you are able to shut off miscellaneous items on the ‘remoted’ outlets and keep the main 2 outlets on. Belkin has the HDMI 2-in-1 switcher online for $49.99 in USA and Canada. Release date is set for Asia, Europe and Australia in March 2008. It supported 480i/p,1080i/p, 720p, HDCP compliant and come with a Remote control. No, it’s much of a news for a 2 in 1 hdmi switcher, I need at least 6 in my system. But what caught my attention is the ‘bus-powered’ feature claimed by Belkin with HDMI cable connected to your HDTV. Now, that’s cool. Having a remote control also means that you can use your universal remote to learn the code. Now you can have one remote for your whole system for switching varies sources if desired.
