Pegatron have been showing off their Freescale-powered netbook prototype again, and if you’re wondering why there’s a Palm Pre perched on the end then it’s because the two share the same basic ARM Cortex A8 core architecture.  In the unnamed netbook’s case, though, the Freescale iMX515 runs at 1GHz, and is capable of playing 720p video and running 3D games.

In case you can’t read the helpful legends in the image below, you’re looking eye-to-port at what promises to be the first motherboard with dual SuperSpeed USB 3.0.  The ASUS P6X58 Premium is designed for Intel’s Core i7 CPU range, and has six DDR3 memory slots, three PCI Express 2.0 slots and the usual bevy of USB 2.0 ports and headers; however, ASUS have also thrown in a pair of USB 3.0 ports capable of a theoretical 4.8Gbps transfer rate.

ASUS have apparently pushed back the launch of their second touchscreen netbook, the Eee PC T101, according to the latest whisperings from the industry.  Originally set to be released in June 2009, the T101 – which has a 10-inch touchscreen display, and is the larger sibling to the T91 - will now arrive in September at the earliest.

What’s that, you say?  Why, it’s ASUS’ Eee PC 1101HA, the 11.6-inch Atom Z520 model from the company’s slippery Seashell range, and it’s sat next to the packaging it so recently was unboxed from.  It’s the handiwork of NewGadgets.de, who have managed to acquire one of the netbooks over in Europe.

Having showed up on Amazon earlier today, it seems the ASUS Eee PC T91 really is ready for US prime-time.  The reviews have already begun to spring up across the usual suspects, so what’s the consensus?  It looks like it’s time for another SlashGear review round-up, this time about what could be ASUS’ most-anticipated Eee PC to-date.

ASUS’ Eee PC T91 has appeared on the Amazon US site, listed as in-stock and ready for immediate delivery.  Priced at $499.99, the long-awaited T91 is ASUS’ first 8.9-inch convertible touchscreen netbook, and uses an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, 1GB of RAM (2GB max) and the company’s custom “TouchSuite” UI.

Motherboards may not often be the most exciting of components, but you won’t get far with your PC build without one.  ASUS have announced their latest “Xtreme Design” series ‘board, the P6TD Deluxe, and while the box design may be sober the spec-sheet certainly isn’t.  Core i7 and Core i7 Extreme CPU compatibility, up to 24GB of DDR3 2000 RAM supported over six DIMM slots and three PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots make for a capable, compact motherboard.

ASUS have announced a new range of LCD TV/monitor hybrids, the TV Monitor T1 Series.  Available in 22-, 24- and 27-inch versions, the T1 Series displays all offer 1920 x 1080 resolution for Full HD 1080p playback, and include dual HDMI inputs and both digital (DVB-T) and analog (PAL/SECAM) TV reception.

ASUS’ Disney netbook, the Eee PC MK90 “Netpal”, has shown up for pre-order with retailer Toys “R” Us.  Listed as an exclusive, the netbook has an 8.9-inch display and is priced at $349.99, with the first shipments expected to take place on August 3rd.
