As most of you already knew, our own Vincent Nguyen was at the Apple show last week where a whole slew of software upgrades, the new iMac, the new keyboard, the upgraded Mac Mini, and the Gigabit Airport Extreme were all announced/released. There have been rumors floating around for a little while now that the Mac mini is going the way of the dodo. However, Apple has just given the tiniest Mac a welcome refresh. I don’t think it’s going anywhere.
Now that the main show is over, Vincent has gotten the chance to play with the new iMacs up-close. He’s taken a few shots so you can get a good idea of what they look like. They’re look awesome.

I can’t remember a time when Steve has spent this much time talking about software when he wasn’t introducing a new version of MacOS. The latest change comes to iWork.
Over 1.8 million copies of iWork have been sold thus far, which isn’t too bad. Now they’re releasing the new iWork ‘08, which is dramatically enhanced. [...]
Steve walks in and welcomes everyone to the event. We will start off talking about the Mac, it’s been an incredible last 12 months. the growth has grown 3times as fast as the industry. “We’ve got a clean product line”, today we are going to focus on the iMac.
I know, we all want more hardware announcements, but we all pretty much expected to hear a .Mac announcement. It’s not like they hid it very well, they did announce that the .Mac site would be down during the show today. Anyway, onto the good stuff!
Hardware isn’t the only thing Steve is talking about today, he’s also introducing iLife ‘08. This is going to be the biggest change in iLife since it was introduced.
We knew our man Steve Jobs wouldn’t yield the stage to anyone else, so he got up himself and decided to talk about the Mac. The Mac has grown 3 times as fast as the rest of the industry, so they’re pushing forward with the line.
