Apple Store down: new products incoming

We’re in line at the Apple Event this morning in California and the Apple Store has gone down. This means that new Apple hardware is fast approaching, and that it’ll be available for order - or pre-order, at least - later today. This sort of down time has happened with essentially every major release of a product from Apple over the past several years, iPhone to iPad to MacBook Pro and back again. Apple may kick Fitbit out of stores over HealthKit

Not long ago, we reported that Fitbit wasn’t enthralled with Apple’s HealthKit. According to a new report, Apple will stop selling Fitbit products in their stores, instead choosing to make way for their own wearables which do support HealthKit. Though it’s not clear exactly why Fitbit is being removed from store shelves, the HealthKit slight is hard to look past.

Adding a layer of complexity to the issue is that players tend to prefer Beats headphones, which is an Apple product. Now it seems Apple may be striking back, removing Bose products from stores.

The Apple Store is down: here we go!

When the Apple store goes dormant, it’s usually due to a new product coming in. Even when the site was slightly revamped for iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, there was no noticeable lull in the action. Now, the Apple Store has fallen to a blank screen with a “we’ll be back soon” message.

After T-Mobile broke down the subsidy wall, all other carriers of note followed suit.
