Apple is about to have an event in NYC, and by all looks and whispers, it appears that it’ll be surrounding something like a “Garage Band for Texbooks” – that sounds pretty darn interesting – let’s talk about what it’ll really be. I don’t pretend to have any inside lines with Apple, nor do I have any tip that should lead you believe that I’m quoting someone else – instead what you’re about to read is completely built on my own experience with Apple’s past and how I and my former and current student colleagues interact with books. Apple will not, if my mind is cranking out right and telling me the right answers, be revealing a new device, but a new environment where students and colleges can connect to writers in a way that’s been possible but not entirely realistic up until now.

Apple Dev Conference Tickets Scalped on ebay

Apple's exclusive developer's conference, World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) is coming up in a couple months. Tickets just went on sale and sold out on Monday. The June 6-11 conference holds promise of "the future of iOS and Mac OS." This conference isn't open to the general public, each of the $1599 tickets must be paired with registration as an Apple developer. Apple (iPad, iPod/Touch) Only Brand Specific Items on Consumer Electronics Holiday Top 10 Lists

Despite an overall decline in the amount people are spending on gifts, Consumer Electronics Association reports all-time high on gifts of consumer electronics. The CEA revealed their 17th annual "CE Holiday Purchase Patterns Study today at their Industry Forum in San Francisco. The average amount spend on gifts this holiday season will be $750, down 2 percentage points from last year, while they'll spend $232 of that on consumer electronics (up 5% from last year. On the list of which items specifically ADULTS will be wanting this year, right up top of the list are Notebooks, Laptops, and the iPad. Read The Full Story

The Apple TV revolution may have been less a revolution and more of a hobby, which has been agreed upon even by Steve Jobs himself. But, that’s not stopping Jobs and company from announcing a brand new, second-generation Apple TV. But, this time around, it certainly is a revolution, even if you’re just looking at it from a first-to-second generation stand point. Apple iPod Nano Refreshed, Offers 24 Hour Battery and Nike+

The iPod line-up is arguably one of the most popular lineages of Apple, and one that probably means the success or failure of the company (if we don’t count everything else, of course). Apple iOS 4.2 Announced and Shown Off, Coming Later This Year to iPad

We just told you about iOS 4.1, which is set to launch for the iPhone and iPod Touch next week, but what about the iPad?
