Remember back when I told you that Motley Crue was releasing their latest single in Rock Band? Well, I’ve been wondering just how well it has sold, especially in comparison to iTunes sales. To say it sold well would be an understatement.

As a kid I was one of the few that wasn’t allowed to own a gaming console, so instead I played PC games. The first game to really draw me into console gaming was Oddworld, which my Uncle happened to own.

I’ve always been on the fence about cut-scenes in games. One part of me knows that they are a necessary part of the storytelling process, while the other side gets dreadfully bored watching them drag on for several minutes. I guess it depends on the game, how well the scenes are made and how long they last, really. If time is a factor for you, then you might not enjoy the lengthy cuts-scenes featured in Metal Gear Solid 4.

I have some unfortunate news for those that plan on going out in search of a new Zune. No, they haven’t discontinued them, nor is there some newly-discovered reason that you shouldn’t buy one (other than the fact that it’s a Zune). What has happened is that due to a lack of demand, one major retailer is kicking Microsoft’s MP3 player to the curb.

Remember that rumor that was floating around last month about BioShock getting ported to the PS3? Well it has been confirmed in this month’s issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly.

I loved me some comics when I was a kid, but I was always more of an X-Men kid fan than a Hulk fan. Sure, his story was interesting and all, but I just never really got into it that much. So needless to say, I’ve never heard of a Red Hulk. Apparently this is a new addition to the Marvel universe, one that will be making it’s video game debut on a GameStop-exclusive version of the new Incredible Hulk game on the 360.

Is there really any reason to pre-order most games except to get yourself some swag? I rarely have trouble finding a game on release day unless it’s something crazy-big, and even then it usually just takes wandering into Walmart or Meijer and grabbing it. So what crazy free goodies are you going to get for pre-ordering Fallout 3 at GameStop? You’ll be getting 5 free tracks from the game.

Last November Xbox 360 users were able to download the Halo theme song as a free track for Guitar Hero III. This of course left PS3 users scratching their heads wondering when they were going to get a free track. Of course they knew they wouldn’t be getting the Halo track, since that was a 360-exclusive title. Well fear not faithful PS3 owners, your time will come June 5th.
So what game theme song will you be getting? God of War. Now exactly what song this is, we’re not entirely sure. However, since June 5th isn’t all that far away, we’ll find out soon enough.
Remember those new DS colors that we showed you the other day? Well it looks as though the rumors were true, and the colors are real. Well, they’re real for Europe at least, which would explain why they started showing up on a Spanish site first.
Nintendo has officially begun distributing these advertisements which clearly show some new colors for those in the European region. You can never have too many colors, right? Europe is especially in need of a few new colors, as they’ve not been as fortunate as the US or Japan in getting some of the extra ones we’ve seen. Of course now I’m wondering when we’ll see these new colors hit the US shores.
We’ve all know that this was coming, but Activision has officially announced what they hope to be their Rock Band-killer. Check out a sweet video of the guitar and drums after the jump.
