If you find yourself wishing your TV was smaller, you might find the answer to your dreams in the Sony BRAVIA XDV-W600 LCD TV. This 4-inch LCD screen was announced yesterday for the Japanese market and here’s the kicker: it’s waterproof.
This portable TV can be near water without incident. It has an IPX7 and IPX6 waterproof rating, which means it can be submerged for 30 minutes at a depth of 3.3 feet. A device that can last in the water for a second is a good deal to me!
Canon EOS 50D officially announced

USB 3.0 demo coming as early as next week

Intel’s xHCI is set to debut with USB 3.0 and will most likely appear at IDF in San Francisco next week. This puts to rest the idea that Intel would be withholding the specs for USB 3.0. xHCI “provides hardware component designers, system builders and device driver developers with a description of the hardware/software interface between system software and the host controller hardware for USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 (previous versions are not supported).”
GameTap service to be sold off

I totally get the idea of playing old games on my PC, however, I prefer to actually own the games I play. If there’s an older game that I really want to play, I tend to just head down to GameXChange or hit up eBay and get it on the cheap. However, those that do rely on the service for their gaming needs, you may be surprised to hear that Turner has decided to sell of the business.
Grand Theft Auto IV for PC gets official

Since its release people have been wondering when (yes when, not if) the game would be released for the PC. In a (not so) shocking move, Rockstar has announced the release of the title for the PC.
Gears of War 2 to get language/gore filter

I’ve always been a bit bummed out when I hear that developers decide to tone down on a game’s gore and violence simply to get a lower game rating. However, Epic Games has decided to go a different route to get parents to pick the game up for their kids.
Rather than removing the gore and foul language, they have decided to create a mode where such things can be disabled. Apparently the in-game blood will be replaced with sparks, and the language will be replaced with, well, less offensive words.
Madden NFL 09 announced for the original Xbox

Well those of you that haven’t upgraded to a current-gen console are in luck, as EA has just announced that they will be bringing Madden NFL 09 to the original Xbox.
Bring Down the Sky now available for Mass Effect PC owners

Unfortunately when the game shipped, said content was nowhere to be found. Well Bioware has finally made good on their word.
