When thinking about tech announcements, we often forget about the things that make our gadgets go. Like batteries. But Energizer is not one to be left out and at CES 2009, they will be showing off their latest in battery technology called the Zinc Air Prismatic.
After the demo video finished and the execs announced the pricing and availability, the T-Mobile G1 event turned to the audience with plenty of questions about the device, the platform and everything in between.
Let’s touch on a few of the questions and their respective answers:
The G1 will not tether. You will have to purchase a voice plan as well and it can read Word and Excel files and GMail push will be supported. There won’t be desktop sync, but there will be a back-end one.
All of the anticipation hasn’t been for nought. In fact, today at the T-Mobile G1 event, we learned that the device will be available from selected T-Mobile stores and dealers starting on October 27th for $179.

When Cole Brodeman, the chief technology officer for T-Mobile took the stage today at the T-Mobile G1 event, he said that today’s announcement would be a game changer to how mobile phones and the Internet “bring us together.” He was right.

This morning has pretty much been “suspicions confirmed” so far when it comes to Apple’s Let’s Rock event in San Francisco. We first heard the iPod nano was coming out in fourth gen and all the little details that leaked over the past few weeks turned out to be true. Now, the iPod touch is in the spotlight, and while it didn’t get a total refresh, it got a few tweaks and updates.
Much of our speculation was confirmed today at Apple’s Let’s Rock event, especially regarding the iPod nano refresh. Steve even joked about the rumors because of the leaked iPod accessories. But after that, it was all business.
