“No plans” for Angry Birds Space on Windows Phone

Angry Birds Space developer Rovio Mobile has no plans to bring the hugely popular game to Microsoft's Windows Phone platform, it's been confirmed, blaming the arduous and expensive task of rewriting for the decision. The decision, which will come as a blow to Microsoft's ambitions for challenging iOS and Android, was made despite Angry Birds being the number one app in the Windows Phone Marketplace, Rovio CMO Peter Vesterbacka told Bloomberg. "We want to be on all screens, but we have to consider the cost of supplying the smaller platforms" the exec said. "With Windows Phone it’s a lot of work to technically support it."

Angry Birds Space secret level tip for combating cyber-bullying

Rovio announced Angry Birds Space in cooperation with NASA from the ISS in orbit above the Earth this month. The game is being used to help demonstrate the way physics work in space. Fans of the game will be able to get a hint at unlocking a secret level in the game by supporting MTV's "A Thin Line" campaign. The goal of that campaign is to fight digital abuse, bullying, and discrimination online.

The game Angry Birds has hurled itself into an advertising deal with Formula 1 driver Heikki Kovalainen. I hope we see some Angry Birds pigs and other images on the side of his car, but that's not confirmed. What is confirmed is that Kovalainen will have the geekiest and most awesome helmet on the starting grid at the F1 race in Melbourne, Australia this weekend.

Angry Birds outs Galaxy Note update, Android 4.0 ICS missing

Angry Birds outs Galaxy Note update, Android 4.0 ICS missing

It appears that the possibility that Samsung will be pushing another "Premium Suite" upgrade to their devices instead of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update promised weeks ago may be getting very real. Though we've yet to hear back on the oddity of this particular tip, the words are there for everyone to read, and right at the end of the Samsung Galaxy Note's very own Angry Birds Space teaser 2 video, of all places. We've been teased with this game for some time now, hearing that Rovio is working with Samsung for a release on Samsung smartphones exclusively, that they're working with NASA and National Geographic for cross-promotion, and now that the Galaxy Note will be the first device to roll out with the update.

Angry Birds: Space ties with NASA and National Geographic

Rovio's teaser this past week of the newest Angry Birds release to be known as Angry Birds: Space has this week been given a PR boost by none other than NASA and National Geographic! In an interview with Yahoo Games, Rovio North America general manager had a bit more information on the game, especially in regards to what the game will hold for gameplay. We'd hypothesized that Angry Birds: Space would have at least one launch partner, Samsung's Galaxy Note being amongst them, but now it looks more like Rovio will be going to space much more literally!

Angry Birds Space teased, may land with Galaxy S III

The next generation of Angry Birds is right around the corner - a phrase we could say basically any day of the month. But this time it's true insofar as they've announced a brand new concept: Angry Birds Space. This will be an entirely separate game just like Angry Birds Seasons is separate from Angry Birds Rio, and not one whole heck of a lot of information has been revealed thus far. There's a very short teaser out already, and the logo has dropped, but other than that, we're expecting lots of gravity modifications.

Angry Birds flies onto Facebook

Angry Birds flies onto Facebook

A while back, I mentioned that Angry Birds was headed to Facebook. I think Angry Birds is a pretty cool game, but the thought of all the requests from other people on Facebook to play the game or help them wasn't particularly appealing to me. Angry Birds officially went live with Facebook yesterday; it was supposed to debut officially today.

KISS frontman Gene Simmons eyes Angry Birds deal

When you think of colorful, odd-shaped birds flinging into a group of circular green pigs, does a man who dresses up in gaudy black-and-white makeup and gothic black outfits come to mind? Well, maybe. But then again, with the number of different promotions and partnerships Rovio has managed to milk out of Angry Birds, pretty much anything sounds like it makes sense at this point.
