Angry Birds Space now available on Steam

Angry Birds Space has been out for awhile now, and while it's been replaced by the more-recent Angry Birds Star Wars, Angry Birds Space still holds a special place in gamers' hearts, especially since it was the first game in the franchise to incorporate more physics than just flinging birds from a sling shot. Now the game is available on Steam and it's on sale for a limited time.

Angry Birds for iOS now available for free

Angry Birds for iOS now available for free

After the game's initial release in December of 2009, the original Angry Birds game for iOS is now completely free to download. Both the iPhone and iPad versions are available to download at no cost. Previously the game was priced at $0.99 for the iPhone/iPod Touch version and $2.99 for the "HD" variant.

Temple Run 2 beats “fastest growing mobile game” record by 22 days

Today the developers at Imangi Studios have announced that they've reached the 50 million app download mark for mobile devices, reaching this point a full 22 days earlier than the previous record holder. That previous record holder was Angry Birds Space, having crowned itself the fastest growing mobile game in April of 2012 by reaching 50 million downloads in 35 days. This of course means that Imangi Studios will be picking up the tab tonight when we all go out to celebrate their victory.

BlackBerry isn't afraid of a little game bribery to try to fuel the first batch of BlackBerry 10 device sales, turning to Angry Birds developer Rovio to help gild the lily. The developer joined BlackBerry on-stage in London, UK, to announce that all of its back-catalog of Angry Birds titles will be available in BlackBerry App World from launch, with a freebie for those early-adopters.
