It's time we let you know about our sister site Android Community's big spec project. For quite a while now we've been working beyond the scenes to bring you a directory of devices that's not to be matched, all of them running on Android. What we're going to do is go through all the different ways you, the user, can utilize this directory of devices and the places you're going to see it in action on Android Community's main news feed from here on out. Vizio Tablet Unboxing And Hands-On

Vizio has long been known for its budget-friendly TVs and now they’ve entered the tablet market with their very first Android slate that’s similarly affordable. It quietly hit the market recently for $349. Given its lower-end target, the Vizio Tablet obviously isn’t competing for the most cutting-edge specs, but instead offers more functionality for the everyday consumer, packing in some rather unique features.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G LTE on Verizon Hands-on and unboxing

With WiFi tablets generally proving more affordable and more popular than their cellularly-equipped brethren, Samsung probably made the right decision launching the WiFi-only Galaxy Tab 10.1 first. Still, we've had a taste of Verizon's LTE network on Android smartphones, and that left us with a taste for more. Just in time, then, comes the new Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1: a super-slimline 4G LTE slate with a sugary Honeycomb center.

The tablet has been incredibly popular for its keyboard dock that turns it into a notebook hybrid, but has likely been a crowd pleaser for its speedy update turnaround times as well. Its last update to Android 3.1 Honeycomb was just released in the beginning of June.

Toshiba Thrive Review

Toshiba Thrive Review

The Toshiba Thrive isn’t a sexy tablet. It’s plump, homely, a little bit awkward, and although smart and supportive, you won’t be showing it off much to your buddies. But if you’re reading this review, you probably already know that. You’re considering the Toshiba Thrive because you see past a pretty exterior and a tight slender body. You want great specs inside, a good clean install of Android 3.1 Honeycomb, ample full-sized ports, and a swappable battery among other unique features.

Dell Streak Android Tablet Pulled Temporarily For Some Updates

Dell Streak Android Tablet Pulled Temporarily For Some Updates

The Dell Streak bills itself as an Android tablet with a 5-inch size getting close to being a smartphone. But, it neither has the pocketability of a smartphone nor the larger screen size of a tablet. And, seeing that most new tablets don't dip under 7-inches, it's safe to say that the 5-inch form factor hasn't caught on in popularity. Hence, when Dell recently pulled the Streak from store shelves, it was believed to be discontinued. But that's not the case, according to a store rep.

Toshiba Thrive Unboxing And Hands-On

Toshiba Thrive Unboxing And Hands-On

Instead of trying to imitate the svelte iPad 2, the Toshiba Thrive goes big with beauty on the inside---sort of. The 10.1-inch tablet running Android 3.1 Honeycomb takes advantage of a larger chassis to include some powerful specs and unusual extras. I got the tablet in just this morning and will have a full review coming soon. For now, continue after the cut for the unboxing and hands-on video.
