Xbox 720 tipped for fall 2013 with AMD 6000 series GPU
The next generation Microsoft Xbox 720 has been tipped to be shipping in late October or early November complete with six times the power in an AMD 6000 series GPU under the hood. There’ve been reports from several sources saying the same set of details, the most recent confirmation coming from IGN’s source close to the project. Specifically it appears that the Xbox 720 will be using the AMD Radeon HD 6670 working with support for DirectX11, 3D and 1080p HD output, and multidisplay output.
AMD Trinity ultrathins to undercut ultrabook by $200
AMD's challenge to Intel's Ultrabook push, the AMD Trinity series of APUs, will drop in June and undercut its rival by as much as 20-percent, according to information from notebook manufacturers. The new models - of which around 20 AMD-based ultrabook-equivalents are expected this year, claim DigiTimes' sources - will be $100-$200 cheaper than comparable Ivy Bridge notebooks.

AMD invests in BlueStacks for Android apps on Fusion slates
AMD has joined a $5.6m investment round in BlueStacks, the software specialist that enables Android apps to run on x86-based Windows computers. The investment, made with Citrix, will see AMD leverage BlueStacks virtualization with its tablet and notebook/netbook processors; BlueStacks intends to use the extra cash to accelerate development, with a beta and Pro version - capable of running paid Android apps - both expected by the end of 2011.

ASUS Eee Top range updated with AMD Fusion chips
ASUS has outed its latest all-in-one PCs, the 15.6-inch Eee Top ET1611PUT based on Intel's Atom chips and the 20-inch Eee Top ET2011AUKB and ET2011AUTB based on AMD's Brazos APUs. What we're most pleased to see, however, is that the ET2011AUKB comes with a matte-finish display (the ET2011AUTB has a glossy display, albeit one that also responds to multitouch gestures).

AMD Trinity 2012 Chip Demoed On Notebook
AMD has officially launched the Fusion A-Series APUs---a hybrid of CPU and GPU technology---previously called Llano. It will be available in this year's desktops and notebooks. Its successor, the AMD Trinity, isn't due until 2012, but during a presentation this morning at the AMD Developer Fusion Summit 2011, the new silicon was actually demoed on a notebook, as shown in the tweeted image below.
