Lenovo has a trio of new ThinkCentre all-in-ones for your delectation, the Edge , M92z, 92z and 72, available in 20-, 21.5- and 23-inch sizes and packing Intel's 3rd-Gen Ivy Bridge processors. The Edge M92z is perhaps the slickest of the bunch, fronted with an optional 10-point multitouch display and support for WiDi for wirelessly hooking up a second screen, and with up to 1TB of storage, SSD options and the choice of adding in a 1GB AMD Radeon video card on the 23-inch model (though not on the 20-incher).

HP adds Intel’s Ivy Bridge to six desktops

The last two days have seen a positive rain of new systems using Intel's third generation of Core processors, including an update to HP's well-received Omni 27. They just announced another five models getting the Ivy Bridge update: the 21-inch Omni 220qd and Touchsmart 520xt all-in-ones, the Pavilion HPE h8t and h8xt desktops and the top-of-the-line HPE H9t Phoenix. The Phoenix will be hitting online and brick-and-mortar retailers on April 29th, but the rest of the models including the new Omni 27qd will have to wait until June 24th for retail. They'll be offered on HP's website the same day as the Phoenix.

HP Omni 27 coming with Ivy Bridge option

If you're a fan of the all-in-one design and aren't up for Lenovo's unconventional A720, then there's good news: HP's mid-range, big-screen Omni 27 will soon get an Ivy Bridge option. The third-generation Intel Core processors will be offered with new Omni 27 units soon. Though HP's website is still showing the older processors, Intel's Ivy Bridge showcase names the model. The update should go live on HP's site in a week or two.

HP Z1 all-in-one workstation now shipping

If you need a ton of power in an attractive and modular all-in-one, you were previously out of luck. But the HP Z1 Workstation, which wowed onlookers at HP's presentation in February, is now shipping worldwide to fulfill your high-powered needs. The 27-inch all-in-one is the first PC to use workstation-class components in the form factor, and combines with an impressive flip-up design to grant access to its innards. The starting price is $1,899, but you can add Intel Xeon-class processors, NVIDA Quadro graphics, et cetera, to make it go a lot higher.

MAINGEAR Solo custom all-in-one revealed

MAINGEAR has outed its latest custom PC, the Solo, a 21-inch all-in-one which promises to be the most flexible of its ilk. Fronted by a 1080p Full HD display - with an optional 10-point multitouch touchscreen - the Solo kicks off with a Core i3-2125 processor and 4GB of memory, but can be upgraded to a Core i7-2600S and 16GB of DDR3-1333. MAINGEAR also slots in 32GB of SSD caching memory as standard, to turn any regular HDD into a hybrid drive for up to 8x the performance, supposedly.

Lenovo recalls 50,500 ThinkCentre desktop PCs

Lenovo is recalling about 50,500 desktop PCs due to a defect with the power supply that poses a fire hazard. The models being recalled are the ThinkCentre M70z and the M90z, both all-in-one PCs featuring displays with multi-touch support. Only certain units built between May 2010 through January 2012 are affected.

Lenovo IdeaCentre AIOs and desktops revealed

Lenovo has revealed its latest IdeaCentre touchscreen All-in-One PCs, along with a new K430 tower desktop and a compact H520s half-sized desktop, at CES 2012 today. The Lenovo IdeaCentre B540 and B340 offer 23- and 21.5-inch Full HD displays along with Intel Core processors and touch support, with the B540 having a distinctive bezel-free design and being VESA mountable.

Vizio readies laptops and all-in-ones for low-price PC push

Budget TV company Vizio will extend its reach into computing, beginning with a range of new models to be showcased at CES 2012 next week.
