uTorrent is one of the world’s most popular BitTorrent clients, with most users preferring it over other solutions due to its lightweight operation and low memory footprint. BitTorrent Inc has slowly been adding new features into the client, upsetting some users in the process, but the latest change will no doubt be controversial. GM and Facebook said to be rekindling advertising flame

Back in May, General Motors suddenly ceased advertising on Facebook. No specific details were given, although it was believed that the advertising campaign had little impact. Now the Wall Street Journal reports that GM and Facebook are in talks to resume advertising on the social network. Senior executives have confirmed that both companies are currently in talks. Samsung’s Galaxy S III ads crank anti-Apple snark

Samsung's Galaxy S III resisted Apple's best attempts to block it from sale in the US; now the Korean company is biting back with new adverts playing up the Android handset's powers of conversion. The phone's "Designed For Humans" tagline hasn't exactly proved convincing, but the newest series of promos play more on the Galaxy S III's abilities than they do dodgy marketing speech. More interesting, however, CNET spotted that Samsung has seemingly recycled one of the actors from its Galaxy S II campaign, implying that the new flagship phone is enough to coax even "creative" types away from their Apple phone. After T-Mobile's failed attempts to merge with AT&T they are looking to make some noise in the market and let everyone know they are here to stay. In what we are hearing is a "brand makeover" T-Mobile and their always attractive Carly Foulkes are dropping the cute and nice act in favor of “No More Mr. Nice Girl.” That will be their new tagline as Carly dresses in black leather with her shiny Ducati street bike. You might not have noticed it if your Apple sensor is as normalized as your love for great advertising, but billboards, bus stations, and print ads across the United States have finally switched from iPad 2 to the new iPad for 2012. While you could argue that Android is inundated with adverts in free games, apps, and search results, one area of the OS that has been off limits for the most part is the notification bar. KDDI infuriated Japanese users of Android handsets with push advertisement notifications from the Au One Market. This week the "NEW" identifier on Google's newly revamped digital content store Google Play, formerly known as the Android Market, has drawn fire from those that would call it Evil. As any Google fan can tell you, one of the original sayings that made Google the company it is today was "Don't be Evil." One month and three days after Consumer Watchdog called President Obama to endorse "Do Not Track" and online privacy legislation during his State of the Union address, the President has proposed a Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights. The White House has called upon Congress to pass legislation that will allow the FTC Federal Trade Commission as well as state attorney generals to support and enforce the framework of this bill.
