ZTE Grand S Flex and Blade G images and specs surface

In December, word surfaced that ZTE would be showing off the Grand S, which was being hailed as the world's thinnest phablet, at CES 2013. Such was the case, and we got our hands on the giant smartphone back in January. Since hitting shelves, some feedback of the smartphone has been of the critical variety, with some consumers taking issue with the small non-removable battery. A suspected glimpse of what was at first believed to be a brand new version of the Nexus 7 has instead been revealed to be a tablet made by ZTE. Inside a Google-made promotion for Google Maps exploring Central Park appeared a little-known 7-inch tablet that could very well have been Google's next-generation handheld tablet. In Monaco earlier today, ZTE officially unveiled its ZTE Grand X2 In Intel-powered flagship smartphone, once again eschewing its stigma of peddling lower-end handsets by offering an all-around high end smartphone slated for release in Europe this autumn for an unspecified amount. ZTE gets Microsoft patent license for Android and Chrome OS devices

Last week, Microsoft announced that it had entered a patent licensing agreement with Foxconn parent Hon Hai, covering devices that run Android and Chrome OS. ZTE wins in court against Huawei

Smartphone makers ZTE Corporation and Huawei Technologies have been embroiled in a patent lawsuit in France. Huawei had filed a lawsuit against ZTE alleging infringement on patents having to do with data cards. The case is being heard in Paris District Court and the decision was handed down on March 28. Mobile World Congress 2013 scrambles to a close, a week of new phones and tablets, a shiny new venue, and more questions as to whether the days of the big trade show are numbered. It’s been a show where the divisions between the mobile upstarts and the current key players have been sharply defined, with ZTE, Huawei, and Nokia all pushing to corner the market, while Samsung and HTC were notable by their relative absence of announcements, favoring their own, standalone events. Nevertheless, there’s plenty to wrap up, and seldom has a headline been so accurate in so many ways.

ZTE Grand Memo hands-on

ZTE has big screens on the brain, and the ZTE Grand Memo is no different, packing a sizable 5.7-inch panel into an Android hoping to find its way to your pocket. The Grand Memo - which, despite what the name might imply, doesn't have a stylus - certainly shouldn't lack in speed, thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset.
