Oblivion 1080p Movie Trailer revealed with Joseph Kosinski attached

, Dec 10th 2012 Discuss [4]

Because you've more than likely never heard of the story behind "Oblivion", you're going to have to start with a viewing of the trailer and an understanding that this movie was first a graphic novel - aka a comic book. This story is about the future, it's got a lot of rather confusing elements made to excite your pants off, and you're going to freak out over the massive amounts of action in the trailer alone. You'll not know more until the third paragraph of this post after the trailer is viewed. Read The Full Story

ISS Star Trails video sings space in beams of light

, Oct 17th 2012 Discuss [0]

If you're looking for a lovely video to watch today while you eat lunch, journalist Christoph Malin has just what you're seeking - a "Star Trails" video showing time-lapse imagery captured by the International Space Station. The video you're about to see captures a collection of photos snapped by the ISS and places one image on top of another and another on another, making "Tron trails" through space. Accompanying this lovely set of images is music from a set of rather talented artists as well, starting with "Eileen" by Lee Rosevere and moving on to "Window #3" by Two Bicycles. You don’t want Google’s Project Glass

This week we’re getting our first “real” taste of the Google X project known as Project Glass, and with this preview comes a very Alpha look at how augmented reality might look coming from Google. In my lifetime, I’ve seen several iterations of what was just simply called Virtual Reality, this starting at Tron’s long run and the pre-eminent “computer world” vision, stopping somewhere along the line for Nintendo’s Virtual Boy, and ending up here with Google’s glasses and transparent projection project. What the whole tech world should be asking at this point is this: why limit ourselves by leaving the house?

Lit Motors C-1 self-balancing motorcycle brings Tron to reality

, Jan 6th 2012 Discuss [6]

Though it doesn't quite leave light ribbons behind it yet, the vehicle the folks at Lit Motors have created here is the closest you're going to get to Kevin Flynn's "vintage" white cycle from Tron: Legacy without entering The Grid yourself. What you're looking at here is more than an exercise in aesthetics, too, it's a fully-enclosed two-passenger electric motorcycle which is able to fully self-regulate its balance automatically. Kick it in the side just like you would that robotic dog you've all seen videos of - it'll right itself just the same! Read The Full Story

Tron scooter is perfect for tiny Users

It's no surprise to me that geeks tend to get their kids geeky toys. When my son was little the rode this red plastic motorcycle everywhere, wearing a motocross jersey that was five sizes too big. He would jump anything the bike and his 3-year-old-legs could make it over. If they had this Tron scooter when he was little you can bet he would have been rocking one. This scooter was apparently created by a designer at the Trek bicycle company. Read The Full Story

TRON Watch Concept Design Uses Hexa-Slots to Tell Time

, Dec 23rd 2010 Discuss [4]

We're certainly covering the gamut of possible gadgets that could be inspired, and themed, by the recently released TRON: Legacy movie. While the orange-hued Xbox 360 controller and real-life light cycles may be the coolest "real" gadgets we've seen, this concept design from designer Abhinav Dapke has us hoping that some watch designer out there will pick up the reigns and make this watch real. But that's not going to stop the TRON: Legacy-inspired items from popping up here and there. We're just happy to see that there's just as much Do It Yourself magic happening here, as there are "official" products being launched. Read The Full Story
