It’s all true - Microsoft has acquired Mojang, the makers of Minecraft. According to Mojang’s Lydia Winters and Owen Hill, "The founders: Notch, Carl, and Jakob are leaving." They go on to note that "We don’t know what they’re planning. It won’t be Minecraft-related but it will probably be cool."
Mobile gaming is no longer a thing. It just is. But not all game companies, most especially the giants, are willing to take the plunge, and the risks, just yet. Sony may be finding a way to tide mobile gamers over to its PlayStation ecosystem with Dive In, a new streaming service that will cater specifically to Android and iOS.
Just in time for the midnight release of Destiny, Sony is releasing their "Glacier White" DualShock 4 controllers to the public. These controllers will be available inside the United States through Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop as early as tomorrow morning. This morning the team behind Mortal Kombat X have revealed that the game will be released for all platforms on April 14th. In addition, pre-orders have been given the added bonus of Goro. Those that pre-order the game will be given Goro as a playable combatant in Mortal Kombat X right out of the box.
Several sources are coming together to form a Voltron of clues this week pointing toward a final release date for GTA V for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game has been rumored for several weeks to be appearing on the 14th of November here in the United States. The newest clue suggest that the 18th of November is more likely.
A new "standalone expansion" to the Saints Row series has been revealed during PAX Prime 2014. This game will have the Saints attempting to rescue their lost boss in the pits of Hell. This afternoon some malicious folks have attacked the PlayStation Network (PSN). Sony has suggested that network issues are being worked on right this minute, and they’ll continue to be worked on until the whole mess is fixed. So go about your business - just so long as it’s offline.
