At the end of July, Sony opened the doors to the open beta of PlayStation Now for PS4 owners. Now that same privilege is also available for the PlayStation 3 faithful, giving them access to as much as 150 PS3 titles without having to worry about discs or downloads, provided, of course, your Internet connection can handle it.
The first full-length trailer has arrived for the game Resident Evil Revelations 2. This game will be rolling out with elements from Resident Evil 2, but will move on from that storyline to a new island entirely. This version will star Resident Evil 2’s Claire Redfield and Barry Burton’s daughter Moira.
This morning the team behind Mortal Kombat X have revealed that the game will be released for all platforms on April 14th. In addition, pre-orders have been given the added bonus of Goro. Those that pre-order the game will be given Goro as a playable combatant in Mortal Kombat X right out of the box.
The teams at Deep Silver / Volition have let it be known that they’re bringing Saints Row IV "Re-Elected" to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 27th. With this game - a re-imagining of Saints Row 4 - they’ll be including Saints Row: Gat out of Hell. But the packaging is a bit confusing.
This afternoon Sony's PlayStation Network (PSN) is not quite so awake and active as it normally would be on a Thursday. Most problems reported this morning and afternoon center on Online Gaming, while quite a few Log-In errors have also been reported. The PlayStation Store seems to be affected as well, while not as many problems with the store have been tapped.
Welcome to September - in a few days, but as far as Sony is concerned, right this minute. They’re bringing on a collection of games that’ll be free to download in September just so long as you’ve got a PlayStation Plus account. Signed up and ready to roll?
Does this mean that Deep Silver won’t be releasing a Saint’s Row 5 this week? Maybe. What we do know is that "Escape Dead Island" looks extremely unique. And certainly strange. EDIT: Additional screenshots added - maybe from Xbox 360, maybe from PlayStation 3, maybe even from PC.
Earlier this month, Elgato released the Game Capture HD60, a device made to record video output from the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Elgato has the consumer-level game capture market cornered here in 2014 with not just one, but two devices with essentially the same name: Game Capture HD and Game Capture HD60. Today we’re seeing how well the HD60 works while we compare it in a basic way to the original HD.
It’s very, very early to start speaking about Saints Row V if you’re only considering the details that’ve been released by Deep Silver / Volition. It’s also early so suggest that the game might be near completion, given the amount of time that’s passed between each successive release in the series. But the rumblings have begun, nonetheless, and the first official details could be here as soon as August 29th, 2014.
