Grand Theft Auto V Update fixes transfer issue for PS4

Grand Theft Auto V Update fixes transfer issue for PS4

In recent times some Grand Theft Auto V gamers on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have had trouble transferring over Online characters -- if they hadn't played since 2013, that is. Trying to play GTA Online with the Xbox 360 or PS3, then, resulted in a notice that Rockstar's service weren't available. Rockstar Games had responded to the concerns, saying that it was looking into the issue and would have more to say later on. That spawned a series of new updates today, ultimately leading to the now-available patch for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles specifically.

PS4 Black Friday Bundles: GTA V and LEGO Batman 3

Black Friday is coming and you know it by how brands are ramping up their promos and treats designed to relieve you of the burden of holding on to your money. Naturally, games and gaming hardware are one of the most common beneficiaries of such sprees, and the PlayStation 4 is no different. Claiming it to be the consistent top selling console since last year's launch, Sony is offering not one but two bundles, each with not one but two games to be enjoyed.

Should you give Ubisoft a break on Assassin’s Creed Unity?

Should you give Ubisoft a break on Assassin’s Creed Unity?

This week is not a great one for Ubisoft. They've been hit relatively hard for their slightly lackluster release of Assassin's Creed: Unity, with reviewers finding the game less than perfect in some cases and downright unplayable in others. But what if Ubisoft had waited? What if they delayed again - past the two weeks delay they'd noted back in August? At what point does it make sense to release a product that's unfinished? At what point does a development team have to stop and release?

Assassin’s Creed Unity issues: Ubisoft blames AMD [UPDATE: Ubisoft recants]

Assassin’s Creed Unity issues: Ubisoft blames AMD [UPDATE: Ubisoft recants]

It's not been a great couple of days for Ubisoft. Assassin's Creed Unity was put on sale a full 12 hours before the review embargo was lifted, reviews were less than positive, and there've been several reports of graphics glitches in-game for both the console (PS4, Xbox One), and PC versions of the game. Today Ubisoft has responded to a couple of complaints, suggesting in one case that "graphics performance" could be "adversely affected by certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations." Ubisoft appears to be suggesting this performance hit is only present on PCs, not necessarily Xbox One or PS4.

CoD Ghosts, Advanced Warfare blocks PS4 Share Play for now

Sony has just released its latest system update for the PlayStation 4 and it has poured a lot of focus on the "virtual couch" features of the new Share Play. But if you're quite excited to let others view your screen, or convince others to play your game for you, better calm down a bit and take stock of your games. Unsurprisingly, not all titles support the share-your-controller/screen feature, with some actively blocking it out. Call of Duty: Ghost and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare happens to be two of them.

Finally, GTA V gives you the best PS4 upgrade excuse

Finally, GTA V gives you the best PS4 upgrade excuse

If you've been sitting pretty with your PlayStation 3, insisting that there's nothing about the PlayStation 4 that could encourage you to upgrade, Grand Theft Auto V may have just spoiled that. The upcoming game is set to debut on PS4 and Xbox One later this month, and since all eyes are on what the console abilities of the next-gen hardware might be able to do, Rockstar Games has served up a side-by-side comparison of the differences. One thing is clear from looking at the same scenes on the PS3 and the PS4: your eyes are going to be a whole lot happier.

Said Toyota's Steve Appelbaum recently, "This ingenious build highlights why the Tundra is the truck of choice for so many hard-working Americans." Did we mention the three TVs?
