If you’re one to watch Netflix on Safari, you’re about tot get a more streamlined experience. Netflix today announced that they’ve worked closely with Apple to bring HTML5 streaming to OS X Yosemite. There is no longe a need for the Silverlight plugin used in former (current, really) iterations of Safari.

Recording video on an iOS 8 device is now possible using OS X Yosemite. The newest (and very beta) operating systems from Apple are meant to work in tandem, and news of an optional video recording utility are evidence of that. Of course, you need both new OSs for this to work right, so unless you’re a Developer — it may not work out for you just yet.

Today in a demonstration of how OS X Yosemite was able to use an iPhone as a relay to make phone calls, Apple made a call to Dr. Dre. His phone number - almost certainly a single-use number - called up Dre on stage. "Hey how you doing, this is Dre," said Dre, "I'm glad you called. I heard Tim gets in early — what time should I show up for work."

Safari update stripped and share-friendly

There’s a new Safari coming with the rise of OS X Yosemite, one that’s meant to make the browser look far more unique than it has in the past. There’s a new way of searching inside of Safari, with Google Search inside. Searching for a band’s name will now result in a Wikipedia entry first on the list, then "Google Search" with similar search possibilities, Search in History, go to site "keyword", and find "keyword" on this page.
