Lenovo S5000 hands-on: aiming for the mid-tier tablet crown

With ASUS doing so extremely well with the Nexus 7 (and its reboot), Lenovo appears to have summoned a competitor in the Lenovo S5000 that - at the same time as it competes, brings with it the company's legacy software standards. What you've got here is a 7-inch display working with IPS LCD technology and 1280 x 800 pixel resolution up front and a soft-touch cover on the back riding above a shiny silver toe.

This device is made to bring on Windows 8.1 and up to 4th generation Intel Core i7 processors (that's Haswell) along with touchscreen capabilities and the unique abilities of the Yoga with "lift and lock." Lenovo Flex 14 and 15 notebooks make multi-mode budget-friendly

While the team at Lenovo have made clear that they have no intention of ending their run of high-powered, best-in-class multi-mode touchscreen computers with their Yoga lineup, they've shown that they can keep it simple as well with the budget-friendly Flex 14 and Flex 15 as well. These devices work with a hinge that allows 300-degrees of rotation and two modes of use - laptop and "stand". This lineup has models measuring in at less than 0.87-inches thick and "no more than" 5.07 pounds.

This week the folks at Lenovo have introduced the Vibe X smartphone, a next-generation solution that takes what they introduced with last year's K900 and gives it a full 2013 makeover. This device works with top-tier specifications like a 5-inch "20/20 Vision" IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution - that's Full HD and a full 441 PPI (pixels per inch). This machine also works with one of the largest front-facing cameras on a smartphone on the market today with a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video chat.

Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro brings on QHD 13-inch display and Voice Control

With the expansion of the abilities available to manufacturers with the release of Windows 8.1 and the 4th generation Intel Core (Haswell) family of processors, Lenovo this week aims to show its dominance in the "Multimode" world of notebook computing with the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. This device takes what was presented in the original Yoga and brings it to a much more futuristic place with the addition of software that detects which of four modes the device is in, suggesting ideal apps for each, Lenovo Voice Control, and Lenovo Motion Control 2.0. This notebook also comes in with a 13-inch display with 3200 x 1800 (QHD+) pixel resolution with 10-point multitouch capabilities.
