Latest Lego Ideas kit, Titanic could be most massive yet

The latest design to reach the second stage of Lego Ideas product development is an enormous replica of the Titanic. If this Lego kit makes it all the way to production, it would be the biggest single kit every produced. The project was designed for Lego Ideas which is a crowdsourced platform that can bring anyone's concepts for a new Lego set to fruition. If a project gathers 10,000 supporters on the site, then it will be eligible for a special review after which it could go into production.

LEGO Computer combination is like Peanut Butter & Jelly

There are just some things that are not only great in themselves but are also great when taken together with something just as great. For some, that would PB & J. For Mike Schropp of Total Geekdom, that would be LEGO and computers. Building on his years of experience housing computing power inside the popular bricks, Schropp has finally decided to get his hands dirty and build what is probably a geek's biggest dream come true. But while this box made of LEGO from the outside might seem unassuming, make no mistake as this computer could be just as powerful as your laptop, or maybe even more.

LEGO may jump in on Amiibo craze soon

LEGO may jump in on Amiibo craze soon

The gaming universe and LEGO aren't unfamiliar with one another. A whole barrage of LEGO-themed games have been released over the past several years, and there doesn't appear to be any end to the releases well into the future. There's even an online role-playing game you can play where (some) figures you collect in real life can be brought into the game. Until now, this was all done with simple, rudimentary code-entering. The next step should be rather obvious to those familiar with Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and Amiibo figures.

Father, daughter team recreate Jurassic Park using $100k worth of Lego

These days, we've got Lego collaborating and releasing brick sets based on nearly every Hollywood action/adventure movie, video games about Lego versions of superheroes, and even Lego staring in their own movie. Well, as further proof of Lego's continuing dominance over popular culture, this news is about a father and daughter who recreated the original Jurassic Park film as a three-minute stop-motion movie using Lego. $100,000 worth of Lego, that is. There was a little bit of movie-making magic included as well, but the results are cute and just as cool as the original 1993 film.

LEGO Jurassic World game trailer goes live

LEGO Jurassic World game trailer goes live

In late January, news of the upcoming LEGO Jurassic World game surfaced alongside some related details. For starters, the game is set to cover all four of the movies, and it'll be doing so in typical fun LEGO-gaming fashion. Though the game hasn't yet arrived (it'll be dropping later this summer), we have finally gotten a look at what it has to offer in the form of an official game trailer. There's very little actual gameplay footage, unfortunately, but it doesn't leave much to the imagination.

What do you do if your research project calls for equipment that you don't have access to or can't afford on your own? Well, you can either beg your school for it, weep to your professor about the difficulty of the project or just wing it and make your own. Whatever muse took hold of Vimal Patel, it must have been a pretty strong one. In the absence of a 3Doodler-like machine, he decided to make his own contraption using some creativity, imagination, and LEGO.
