Having showed up on Amazon earlier today, it seems the ASUS Eee PC T91 really is ready for US prime-time. The reviews have already begun to spring up across the usual suspects, so what’s the consensus? It looks like it’s time for another SlashGear review round-up, this time about what could be ASUS’ most-anticipated Eee PC to-date.

Active Media are back, and they’ve brought a range of upgrades for your tired, file-stuffed Eee PC. The latest SaberTooth-S and SaberTooth-SS SSD ranges are intended to boost storage in compatible ASUS netbooks to up to 64GB, together with access times of up to 155MB/sec.
ASUS’ Eee PC T91 has appeared on the Amazon US site, listed as in-stock and ready for immediate delivery. Priced at $499.99, the long-awaited T91 is ASUS’ first 8.9-inch convertible touchscreen netbook, and uses an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, 1GB of RAM (2GB max) and the company’s custom “TouchSuite” UI.
ASUS’ Disney netbook, the Eee PC MK90 “Netpal”, has shown up for pre-order with retailer Toys “R” Us. Listed as an exclusive, the netbook has an 8.9-inch display and is priced at $349.99, with the first shipments expected to take place on August 3rd.
Twitter is great, but we do prefer more mainstream routes for much-anticipated news like the release date of the Eee PC T91 touchscreen netbook. Still, after the in-stock/not-in-stock flip-flopping of retailers, we’ll welcome anything concrete from ASUS themselves, even if it’s a two-sentence tweet telling us that the 8.9-inch netbook will arrive in the US on July 15th.
We’ve been waiting some time for the ASUS Eee PC T91 to arrive in the US, and according to online retailer BuyDig that wait is over. They’re listing the 8.9-inch touchscreen convertible netbook in-stock for $499, complete with free shipping and Windows XP.
Update: BuyDig have changed their listing from the screenshot below to “no stock yet – accepting pre-orders”. No word on when stock is expected [Thanks Imarie!]
ASUS have quietly announced the official specifications for their larger Eee PC tablet, the convertible T101H. Like its 8.9-inch T91 sibling, the T101H has an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, 16GB SSD (paired with an included 16GB SD card) and a resistive touchscreen; however, in the case of the T101H that LED-backlit panel is 10.1-inches.

We’re still waiting for an official release for ASUS’ Eee Keyboard – the latest we hear is that it should drop sometime in August – but that hasn’t stopped French site Blogeee from getting their hands on one. Rather than cherish it for the rarity it is, they’ve decided to open the Keyboard up and find out what’s making it tick inside.

We’re used to our mobile devices flashing at us to let us know when there’s a missed call to be addressed, new SMS message or battery problem, but it’s less common for a notebook or netbook to blink for attention. JustBlair decided to change that, adding a three-color LED to his Eee PC 901 that flashes whenever a new Twitter, email or IM message comes in.
ASUS have confirmed that they will be offering three versions of their touchscreen netbook, the long-awaited Eee PC T91. According to AsusTablet’s source, the company plan the basic T91 with a single-touch screen, together with a multitouch-capable T91A and 3G-enabled T91GO.
