Nintendo 3DS system update rolls out

If you own a Nintendo 3DS a new software update is now available for the portable console that brings with it some new features. That update was originally expected last month and then Nintendo said it would land December 8. That would have made the roll out start tomorrow. Nintendo offers new 3DS bundles landing on Thanksgiving Day

Nintendo is gearing up for Black Friday with a couple new 3DS bundles that it hopes will lure the shoppers in for Christmas giving. Two new bundles will be offered starting November 24. Zelda 3DS special edition set for USA release

It is finally time all you lovers of the Zelda series who've put off picking up a Nintendo 3DS for long enough, time for the Zelda 25th Anniversary 3DS to hit US shores, complete with black casing, gold accents, and Ocaria of Time 3D right there in the box. Thus far the rumors have been that this would only be an international release - and indeed up until now you'd have had to think about importing one later this month here to the USA, but what we're hearing today is that both Best Buy and GameStop will be carrying the package come Black Friday. That's the 25th of November, next week, if you're keeping track, and we're guessing you'll want to get to the store rather early the day before and tent up if you plan on being there in time to grab one. Nintendo $925 million net loss, faith placed in 3DS

It's time for Nintendo to announce another loss, and we weep for the falling giant, as this Thursday the gaming group reports a net loss of $925 million net loss for six months through September of this year. Nintendo reports that it's slashed its full year through March forecast to a $263 million net loss - though just this July they'd predicted an annual net profit of essentially that same size. Is this the mobile age of gaming coming to crush the group that essentially started the trend with the original GameBoy? Nintendo 3DS attachment to be called Circle Pad Pro in US

We have already seen and heard a lot about the slightly weird attachment for the 3DS that adds an extra circle pad to the device. In Japan, the device is known as the SlidePad and will launch alongside the Monster Hunter 3G video game. The Japanese price for the attachment works out to a bit under $20 here in the States. Pokemon Rumble Blast heads to 3DS

Nintendo has passed along some new numbers for the DS that come by way to stats tracking firm NPD and they show the DS is still selling very well.
