70-inch Newsight 3D display needs no glasses

We don’t have a ton of details, but a new and large 3D display has turned up in Japan at the Finetech Japan 2010 show. The big news for the display isn’t that it's 70-inches, other 70-inch 3D displays have already been announced.

New Samsung 3D LED TVs to feature InstaPort S tech

New Samsung 3D LED TVs to feature InstaPort S tech

I hate waiting on inputs to change on my TV. One of the older sets in my house takes a good 10 seconds to switch between each input and you have to go one input at a time down the list rather than directly to the input. That means if you want to go from HDMI 2 to HDMI 1 you have to thumb through each of the inputs in the list and each one takes about ten seconds to switch. It drives me crazy.

We're not getting away from the 3D revolution any time soon. In fact, it's looking more and more like everyone is ready to just accept the technology into their living rooms. And when that starts happening, it's all down hill from there. Then again, if it starts becoming wildly popular, maybe we won't have to pay ridiculous prices at the theaters anymore. We can dream, right? Thanks to Walmart, we are going to see a huge incline in the desire to own a 3D TV. Mostly because it will be affordable.

The push for 3D TV is definitely going full force, and therefore seeing an announcement like this is only a little bit surprising. We are a bit shocked to see it happening so soon, especially considering that 3D TVs aren't really that common yet, but apparently Sky thinks it's perfect timing. In fact, they've got April 3rd pegged for the official unveiling of their 3D service, which lines up with a pretty big football match on the same day.

For instance, the Panasonic 3D Home theater system that went on sale in select Best Buy stores last week uses active glasses.

And with it, will come 3D. That's right, we bet you didn't see that coming, right? LG is expanding their current 3D TV portfolio, and hoping that the competition doesn't bog down the selection too much. There are plenty to choose from, but we do have to say that this model from LG looks sleek as all get out, and we wish we could muster the courage (for our wallets) to pick one of these bad boys up.
