Is value better than prepaid…i get that you pay phone in installments but you also locked into 2yr contract & all those random fees taxes that can add 20% to ur bill

Cutting thousands of jobs, increasing data pricing…. still with a mostly GPRS network….

You see: Verizon and AT&T can get away with price gouging because the perception is that they have more coverage nationwide (I’m not talking about quality). T-Mobile can’t.

If they are going to increase prices then we better hold them accountable to completing their 3G/4G network nationwide (not just inside downtown city limits). They have to make that kind of commitment or risk alienating even their loyal subs.

That misses the point. The point is to encourage people to move away from traditional plans. As a Tmobile customer under the value plan you end up saving money overall and you get the freedom to buy an unlocked phone if you want. There really isn’t a downside, other than the limited number of phones that carry the 1700 band, but right now, you can get a Galaxy Nexus :)

These price hikes are pushing people into going the value route.
Compared to Verizon and ATT there is certainly something to be said to saving at least $1600 even if you have to buy the phone with it.

Shouldn’t they at least wait until they stop bleeding customers before even thinking about any price hikes?
