With more and more people relying on their smartphones and mobile phones for uses other than just making calls and surfing the web, the devices are gaining popularity quickly. One of the things that many users have replaced with mobile phones is a dedicated PND thanks to the applications available for GPS navigation on mobiles.

T-Mobile and Garmin have announced that T-Mobile will be the exclusive provider for the new Garminfone. The Garminfone is a premium GPS navigation phone that offers 3G connectivity and a touch screen.

The screen is 3.5-inches and navigation uses the Garmin database. Other features include a 3MP camera with autofocus and geotagging of images. The device has apps installed to find lowest gas prices, movie listings and more near you. The handset runs Android and is expected to arrive in T-Mobile stores this spring.
