T-Mobile USA and Motorola have announced the Motorola DEFY, exclusive to the carrier and – bizarrely – making its public debut on the Oprah Winfrey Show today. Packing a 3.7-inch WVGA scratch-resistent touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera and waterproof/dustproof casing, the DEFY was first spotted in the UK at the start of the month.
OS is Android 2.1 – Motorola load Flash Lite into the browser, but there’s no Flash Player 10.1 and there won’t be until a Froyo update – and the Swype keyboard is also preloaded. The camera is paired with an LED flash, and Motorola’s MOTOBLUR social networking integration is also present.
No word on pricing or availability, beyond it being in stores in time for the holidays. Motorola UK previously said the DEFY would land in Q4 2010 in Europe.
