Thanks for the knowledgable answer Chris!

I look forward to seeing Onyx in new products. The idea of using transparent touchpad is really smart.

The demo Onyx phone was designed to be large for showing to an audience, so they took two of their ClearPad touchpads and put them side-by-side behind the display from a Nokia Communicator. Each touchpad is capable of multitouch, it's just that they didn't have one the right shape/size for the prototype unit.
I had a question while looking at their demo unit... and the UI. The representative said it was "multitouch"...

While it might be programmed for multi-touch, the demo unit seemed to have 2 transparent touchpads (there's a misalignment between the two). In other word each touchpad would get one "touch"... Thus the device is not "multitouch" like the iPhone or the LG phone, but rather combining of 2 transparent touchpads...

Am I thinking correctly?
