Switch infinia LED light bulb available nationwide

LED light bulbs have been around for years now. These bulbs are made to look like a normal incandescent bulb, but use significantly more power efficient LED bulbs inside. The upside to LED bulbs is that they are cheaper to power than an incandescent and last a lot longer.

Switch has announced that its latest green LED light bulb is now available nationwide. The bulb is called the Switch infinia. The bulb is available in 40W and 60W equivalents. The 60W unit can be purchased for $11.99. That makes it one of the cheapest LED bulbs on the market.

At that price, you don't get any fancy color changing, app driven capability like the Philips Hue we reviewed a while back. What you do get is light that promises to look like the light a normal incandescent bulb produces. The color of the light produced by incandescent alternatives is a big deal to many users.

The infinia has the same 2700K color as a standard light bulb. The infinia has a lifespan of 25,000 hours meaning it would about 22.5 years before you need to replace the bulb again. The bulb can be used indoors or out and is safe for damp locations. Switch also covers the bulb with a lifetime residential warranty.
