Why are they revealing a beta, and why are blogs reporting about it? It’s just a keyboard app. Which I happen to own (Swiftkey X). And I would like to upgrade to this new version, but it’s not available.

Can’t you all just wait until it’s released a short time from now and report that? Save me the trouble of looking for it and not being able to find it. Honestly. A beta for some major OS or something, yeah report on that. A beta for a tiny little smartphone utility? No.

Nope actually using hand cent to send a text brought the lagging back so it must be a conflict with
the that. I I will still post my first dings in VIP later.

I just wanted to let you know that I uninstalled smart keyboard pro and reinstalled SwiftKey 3 bet and the lagging has seemed to stop but the predictions still need work Nd a calibration, wod be nice.

Spelling mistakes above were not corrected by SwiftKey 3 which is why I M using.

As soon as the community is back up sure I can. I don’t mind providing feedback. I wanted to go directly to the VIP forum but its down so I posted in a couple places.

I have the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus with ICS.

I had purchased Swiftkey previously and it sits in my Apps on the market unused because of lag as well. :-(. Hopefully my feedback will help.

I downloaded the beta….it is by far the Laggiest keyboard I have ever used on a phone. it was not made for people that type fast on a virtual keyboard. it takes a good 5-10 seconds to catch up with what i’m saying…and the whole writing a sentaece without spaces thing? ya didn’t worik and all the words in the sentence were spelled correctly.

I’m glad its only a beta and I didn’t pay $$ for it. Smark Keyboard Pro was worth every penny i spent on it. Virtually lag free…if it lags its no more than a second. It has calibration so you don’t fat finger keys, and it’s got a dictionary that learns as well as lots of keyboard skins to choose from. it’s just overall better.

Sorry Swiftkey, I don’t like to post bad reviews but this one just doesn’t cut it.

I also like the split view that you can do with Thumb Keyboard. I have my Landscape keyboard set to Phone/Tablet 5″ and I get the number pad in the middle. I have a GS2 with a 4.52″ screen so it’s nice to not have to reach as far to hit each letter. If Swiftkey would do that I’d love it.

I too switched to Thumb Keyboard for the ICS theme, but with SwiftKey now having one I definitely want to switch back! Hopefully it is an update. In the meantime I am trying to get to the beta but their servers are being dominated.

If we bought Swiftkey X are we going to get updated to Swiftkey 3 or is it going to be released as a separate app? I’m not buying it again (and I’m using Thumbkeyboard right now because it already has an ICS theme) but I’d give it another try if I can just download an update.
