Swann RemoteCam gives pervs and stalkers a new weapon

Jun 25, 2010

Just about everyone has a keyless entry remote on their keychain today. They are so common that we really don’t even think about them when we see people holding a remote. Swann Security has a new camera called the RemoteCam that looks like a keyless entry remote.

However, the device is actually a camera that can take still images and video. The camera captures video in color with AVI format and the still shots are taken in JPEG format. It has a 2GB microSD card inside for up to 25 minutes of video. That storage can be upgraded with an 8GB microSD card.

The video is recorded in 720 x 480 resolution in full 30 fps motion. The bit rate for the video is 6500 kbps. The RemoteCam measures 2" x 1.2" x 0.5" and weighs less than an ounce. You can pick one up for $99.99 right now.
