I’ve always been a playstation guy, but this year nintendo will get my money

Gaming should always be about having fun, no matter what. I can easily see myself having fun and lots of it on the Wii, but the PS3 and 360 just doesn’t have that same “feeling.”
Also, I’m not going to buy a PS3 because of the way they completely ripped of Nintendo’s new controller design, not to mention their version Xbox live…
Shame on you Sony.

Sony for life.

I’ve never bought a console before, just not my thing, but I’d seriously consider a Wii simply because it looks like it’d be great fun at parties.

One year from now, no one will care about the delays and issues that Sony had releasing the PS3, everyone will just be in awe at the amazing array of games that will be released and are in development for the console. And as for the price, people will pay for it. I know I will…

Im going to get a Wii, its worth it, with some great titles comming out!.
SSBB, LOZ: Twilight princess,Red steel and the bundled game, Wii sports “Also interested in super mario galaxy” .
These kinda games are great, easy for the developers to create, so that the developers could put real quality in gameplay into games.
Motion sensing is great, innovative product, oh “did I say, sony stole it off them, weeks before E3 06?”
Yes, Sony steals, and they steal big time, Thats why I go with Nintendo!
Sony has got much tougher competition this time round.
Microsoft, once halo 3 is around “Not my kinda style of game”, will do pretty well itself.
Ps3, They do have a fanbase of unwaving fanboys, somewhere….
Do expect all of them to get 20 million sales

i pre-ordered wii last week, just because it’s cheaper, but yes it all depends on game selection, we’ll have to wait and see what games is available for what console, and you might see shift depending on those.

I plan to get a Wii, for reasons I’ve stated numerous times on this site; it seems to be the best bang for your buck, IMO. Sony has a lot to prove to me with the PS3 before I’ll ever consider looking at one.

As much as I want a 360, at $400 it’s just not in the cards right now. I’ll have to wait until the price drops. And though the Wiivolution looks nice, I’m not so stupid as to think I’ll be able to get one. I’ll stick with my PS2, and probably pick up a DS Lite or GBA SP this year, and think about next gen next year. :)

IMO I believe Sony has the best concept designs out there on Technology very techy and stylish. Wii is cutie pie type and xbox is sporty. And their styles pretty much represent who they are and their main choices on game types. PS3 more RPG and Action intense 3d Rendering games, where as the cutie pie Wii is …colorful and you guessed it more kiddy but in a sense fun at the same time, xbox is more “american” sports and wars. (my room is all sony designed lol) but It usually runs down to each personal taste. I prefer style and concept design and with a kick of function. Many say Apple Ipod is better etc, but that is just a small community of iPOd fanatics. It just comes down to taste and …what you really need. So talking about sony stealing from Nintendo yadda yadda…this is business, it’s called competeing. If you really want to find out take time to research out the company and their projects. Don’t judge just by seeing. Get the juice of it before you say anything. But then again…another factor is how loyal customers are to their brands. But overall go with what you like personally and not what you hear.

it seems from our poll people will rush out to buy wii, i think price is a big factor at this moment

AJ, I think it’s funny that you called the Wii ‘colourful’ when the shipping console is pure white. It’s very minimalist. When I looked at the GameCube the first time I thought, “Oh, great, another cutsey Nintendo console that people will assume is meant for little kids!” I don’t get that feeling when I look at the Wii. It’s sleek and professional and looks like it belongs in the MOMA.
And the iPod’s 79% marketshare tells me it’s not just a “small community of iPod fanatics” who think the iPod’s better than the competition. :)
But you are absolutely correct: use what you like. Don’t let other people tell you what to buy, and for God’s sake, don’t let Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft tell you what to buy.

I haven’t seen the Wii yet, but I can share with you that the Playstation 3 is mighty impressive. I had a chance to play it last week at DigitalLife – damn I can’t wait for it to get release on Nov 17 for the US market, and Nov 13 for the lucky folks in Japan.

I can’t wait to get a Wii. My Boyfriend’s favorite game, NiGHTS into dreams, would be absolutely perfect for it. Here’s hoping! ^_^
Neutraltyler March 6, 2007
the sony is cool but i would probobly put my money on the xbox 360
NeutralMatt January 12, 2008
AJ your right business is business and who cares if someone stole ideas from someone else it just means they they are going to have a console with more gear onboard and that is what we want! I perosnally have a 360 and I love it just because of what I can do with it and I didn’t buy it because of gaming alone I bought it for all the multimedia functions it has like connecting to computers in my network and being able to stream music, video and pics of it. But I also have a Gamecube, GBA and PSP so I like a bit of everything. In my opinion being loyal to a company is crap ust buy what you want because it is your money not there’s. I have also played the Wii and I found that the graphics are very poor and hevent improved much since the Gamecube. It was a real shame they didn’t fix the graphics because it needs better grpahics to survive the next few years with the nex gen consoles its competing with which both have unbelievable graphics capabilities.
Make your own mind up people!!!
