Surface Pro 3 goes up for pre-order

Microsoft took the wraps off its newest Surface yesterday, giving everyone a look at the 12-inch slate in all its thin goodness. Now the device is up for pre-order on Microsoft's online store, as well as the company's retail stores and certain third-party shops.

The device starts at $799 USD for the Intel i3 64GB model, and goes up from there to $999 for the i5/128GB, $1,299 for the i5/256GB, $1,549 for the i7/256GB, and $1,949 for the i7/512GB. If you pre-order, your shipping date will depend on when which configuration you select.

The Core i5 models will arrive in the US and Canada on June 20 alongside the Pro Type Cover, Pen Loop and Surface Pen. The i3 and i7 models, meanwhile, will be shipping in the US and Canada "by the end of August", with all models also becoming available across the world at the same time.

The pre-order isn't up for China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan at the moment, however. If you haven't already, check out our Surface Pro 3 hands-on write up, and stay tuned: we'll have a full review of the device up in the near future.
