Super Talent unveils UltraDrive DX branded Toshiba SSD

Super Talent has added a new SSD to its storage line called the UltraDrive DX. This SSD is a branded Toshiba product with MLC NAND technology to provide fast read and write speeds. The UltraDrive DX has two levels of security on the drive to protect data.

The levels include an encrypted password to protect data from hackers and data randomization technology to prevent hackers from stealing blocks of data. The drive uses a 2.5-inch form factor and is available in 64GB to 512GB capacities.

The drive promises sequential read speeds of 230 MB/sec and sequential write speeds of 180MB/sec. The SSD also has wear leveling technology to extend the life of the SSD and it is rated for over a million hours MTBF. The 64GB SSD sells for $219, the 128GB sells for $439, the 256GB sells for $719, and the 512GB sells for $1649.
