USB 3.0 is starting to come to the market in force with new notebooks, netbooks, and motherboards that offer USB 3.0 ports. A number of add-in cards for laptops and desktops have also been unveiled to add USB 3.0 to existing computers. Along with the USB 3.0 ports, a lot of USB 3.0 storage products are coming to market and the latest is from Super Talent and is called the SuperCrypt drive.

The SuperCrypt comes in standard and SuperCrypt Pro versions. The difference between the two is the type of encryption they use. Encryption on both drives is based on AES with the standard SuperCrypt using 128-bit ECB encryption and the Pro version using 256-bit XTS encryption.

Both versions of the SuperCrypt will ship this month at undisclosed prices. Both versions of the drive will be offered in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities. The drives promise USB 3.0 performance of up to 240MB/s and measure 95 x 34 x 14.5 mm.
