Over here in the US we’ve been eagerly awaiting the launch of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for a while. It’s been pushed back, and will finally be making its way to our store shelves on March 9th. By that time the game will have been out for over a month in Japan. While the wait seems long for us, Europe still doesn’t know when to expect the game. According to a statement by Reggie Fils-Aime mentioned that it could be as late as fall before it arrives on their shores.

Super Smash Bros.

The original statement from Reggie which caused concern was “Yeah, but they don’t get Smash Brothers until fall.” This was said when talking about Europe. This has since been clairified, and should state that it will “pushed back past spring due to localisation issues, and did not confirm an Autumn release.”

That statement can be read a few different ways. One tells us that it will be summer when Europe gets their hands on the game. The other is that they really aren’t sure, it could be fall, but they really don’t want to cause any upset by announcing a release date so far away. I’m going to hope for the former.
