SunBriteTV unveils 55-inch 5510HD all-weather HDTV at CES

I bet there are lots of people out there who have been outside watching the kids play or cooking on the grill and thought it would be nice to have a TV outside. The catch is that most TVs won't withstand the harsh conditions that can be found outside. Water, dust, bugs, and other factors will ruin your average TV set. SunBrite has unveiled a new HDTV that is designed specifically for outdoor use.

The new HDTV is called the SunBrite 5510HD and has a 55-inch screen. The TV can withstand dust, water, heat, and cold temperatures without any issues thanks to being sealed. This makes the set ideal for use at the poolside and on patios. The enclosure has fans to keep the TV cool in temps up to 122 degrees.

The set has full 1080p HD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate with a 4000:1 contrast ratio. The set features four HDMI connections, component, VGA, s-video, composite, RF, RS232, and discreet IR control. The system has a fiber optic light path that lets the user install an IR emitter behind a watertight door. The set has an MSRP of $7195 and is available now.
