Try buying accessories when physically different products all have the same name. One of the recent holders I purchased had differences for the iPad and iPad2 due to the size. I had the iPad2 so knew which to buy. In the future, will “iPad” mean the original, the iPad2, or the new iPad? Then what’s next, the newer new iPad?

I ran into this very problem when trying to get a car dock for an older iPod Nano. Since multiple generations all have the same name, I had to do research online to first figure out which generation I had and then try to find a matching dock. A simple addition of 2,3,4, etc. to the Nano name for each version would end all confusion. It’s disappointing to see the iPad going back to this confusing lack of name change for new versions.
