The Stimuli 3.0 Lamp is probably one of the coolest lamp concept designs I’ve ever seen. Too bad it most likely will never be made. But despite that fact, this lamp is awesome in both form and function.

This lamp works to maintain a constant level of light in a room. The panels that surround the sphere constantly shift and rotate by means of the internal 3 axis gearbox to either increase or decrease the brightness of the light. The panels block out more or less light depending on how much light there is coming in from outside.

This Chris Natt designed concept lamp looks like a thing of the future and if there’s any justice in the world, well see this one actually in production. How cool would that be?

If anyone is interested… Natt will be exhibiting the Intelligent Lighting at the Papadakis showroom in Shepherds Market during the London Design Festival which runs September 13-23.
