Steve Jobs trailer now out, Fassbender looking classy

There will probably never be a shortage of films about Steve Jobs. The life of the man who revolutionized the computing industry is just chock full of anecdotes, mystery, and sometimes even contradiction, depending on who you ask. In this latest biopic, it was Walter Isaacson who was asked, having penned the simply named "Jobs" biography. Similarly simply named "Steve Jobs", the film will star Michael Fassbender as the eponymous luminary, surrounded by a star-studded cast that is sure to make you curious if this will be The Jobs biopic at long last.

Steve Jobs, the film, was almost as controversial as the man it aims to portray. Having switched hands from Sony to Universal and from the directorial supervision of David Fincher (House of Cards) to Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire), it is almost a miracle that a trailer could be outed at this point at all. Penned by Aaron Sorkin of West Wing and Social Network fame, the biopic is believed to focus on the first Macintosh computer, Jobs' odyssey at NeXT, and all the way up to the first iPod.

Early this year, filming was spotted to have started inside the mythical garage where everything was believed to have been born. It should be noted that Wozniak claims that the garage was exactly just that, a myth. Still, it pretty much makes for a better story than reality. Wozniak himself will be played by Seth Rogen, who looks rather downtrodden in this first public trailer. Kate Winslet fills in the shoes of former Mac marketing head Joanna Hoffman while Jeff Daniels portrays former Apple CEO John Sculley. Missing from the minute-long video is Michael Stuhlbarg, believed to play Mac programmer Andy Hertzfeld.

"Steve Jobs" is set to premiere 9th October. That is, if there will be no other difficulties.
