Steve Jobs: see the new extended movie trailer here

With a quick, sneak-peek teaser offered back in May, the first full-length official trailer for the upcoming Steve Jobs movie has just been released by Universal Studios. With the film, based on the official Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson, due for release on October 9th, the new two-and-a-half minute trailer lets us see a greater number of scenes and hear more dialog, all featuring actor Michael Fassbender as the Apple co-founder.

The movie has seen a fair amount of shuffling this year, changing not only directors, but also film studios and going through a number of potential lead actors. With things finally settled, shooting began earlier this year, and judging from the new trailer, it appears to coming together nicely.

While we heard the bit about Jobs being "the conductor that plays the orchestra" in the first teaser, this trailer gives us a much better impression of Jeff Daniels as ex-Apple CEO John Sculley, and Kate Winslet as Apple's former marketing head Joanna Hoffman. In addition, we also see a bit of the personal life drama that focuses on Jobs' relationship with daughter Lisa Brennan-Jobs.

Steve Jobs has been written by Aaron Sorkin, who also handled the script for the Social Network movie, and handled writing for the TV show West Wing. Award-winning director Danny Boyle is helming the new film, and the cast also includes Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak.
